Josh's first tithing slip.

Josh has taken a huge interest in my CTR ring. He is always asking to look at it and I am constantly using it as an opportunity to teach him about different choices that are the right choices. He wanted me to buy him a ring too. So I told him that he could earn some money by doing extra chores. When Josh turned three I told him he had the chore of keeping his room clean, when he turned four I allowed him to pick the chore he would want and he chose clearing the table. Each year he will have one more responsibility but anything that he does extra that is not already his chore he can do to earn money. I feel this helps him learn work ethic but at the same time makes him grateful for what he has by not giving him everything. I don't want to pay him for the things he should already be doing. So he earned the money and we took him to the store and let him pick out the ring he wanted and man does he love it. He probably even appreciates it a little more since he had to work to get it. So while we are teaching him lessons we added one more to the table, tithing. So he paid 10% and was so excited to write from Josh on one side and tithing on the other. We filled out the slip together and he took it up to the bishop all by himself like he does with our tithing envelopes. I hope it was more of a learning experience knowing it was his own hard earned money.

This is SO cute! It is also a magnificent idea. Lots of lessons to learn and it is good to learn them all together. I am so proud!

I absolutely LOVE that you have the picture of the envelope with the big TITHING across the back. So awesome!
