Josh celebrated one of the best days in his life so far, if not the best. He was over the moon about being baptized. Eagerly wanting it to be the day of his baptism. When it final came, it did not disappoint. I sent out about half of the invitations I made. I very much struggle with getting things to the post office. Design, check. Print, check. Address, check. Leave half of the cards in a pile un-sent, check! Aaahh. This is something about myself that drives me very crazy! This same thing has happened for the last 2 seasons of Christmas cards. One day I will figure out my follow through in this area. So I really apologize for those of you who never received your invitations. Please don't take it personally. In my defence if you knew the weeks I had leading to it you too would probably have struggled getting it done. I will share all my adventures prior to the day in another post.
Josh's love language is definitely touch. It may possibly be all of my children's love language. I experience this hug many times a day. i love that we captured it:) He looks so handsome!
Trevor, Me, Josh, and Josh's biological father Mike. Although Mike is not active it was very nice that he came and supported Josh. Trevor baptized and confirmed Joshua. He said an amazing prayer! One of the best prayers I have heard to date. It was so very perfect for our situation. My hair was really dying!! Should have left it curly. Not like I had time to do much of anything with myself though.
If I counted right, there are 35 people that attended. About 17 of them are active members of the church. So half of this group is in active or not members. It really went to show how loved Joshua is. His decision to be baptized allowed 18 of these people to feel the spirit in a way they usually don't. Trevor and I have noticed that Josh is so loved that he brings a lot of people together. He is such a wonderful shinning example and he wears this responsibility well. He is such a good kid!!
They had everyone write him a little note and put it on a ring so he could keep it forever.
Callie seems to have found something really funny. She looks stunning! I love seeing her laugh.
Apparently I found something worth laughing at too!
Ashlee is clearly deep in thought.
Once she realizes she is being photographed she holds the pool tighter. She is so beautiful!
Josh's Dad, Grandpa Montgomery, and Uncle Noall. I was so happy to see Noall come and support Josh. He even shared with me thoughts about his baptism. Something I am sure he hasn't thought about in a long time. My little Josh, building bridges at such a young age.
In case you didn't know, the cool new thing to do around here and Allie's house, is to collect Roley Pollies. My children have a giant collection of them. Ashlee, Patrick, and Clara have especially taken to this practice. They will spend hours looking for them and collecting them. I am sure they take little breaks and play too.:)
Jessica and Jason Boyce's little girl, Jerzie. Angie Caziers little girl, Clara. Playing dress up.
I found this picture of Allie in the pictures of the day. She looks absolutely beautifully stunning here!! I love this picture and had to share it with you all. I look at it and it totally feels like a true look at Allie. Not only how pretty she is but also just what the inside of Allie must look like. Just beautiful.
