5 weeks early???

I am 35 weeks right now, and the last 2 days my contractions have been out of control. Between 10 and 2 mins apart!! It started Tuesday night, I was feeling good, made an awesome meatloaf/cornbread/potatoes dinner and had the main areas of the house clean. Although I had about 6 kids in my care at one point that day, I was really feeling great. But then right after dinner I just kept have such painful contractions. After a about 2 and a half hours I decided I should probably see how far apart they were, and for the next 3 hours they were 5-8 mins apart. I went to bed and woke up to contractions every once and awhile, but was way to tired to count them.

I called the doctor the next day and he was worried and wanted me to get checked out. I had kids to watch that day so I couldn't get in until 430. By the time 4 o'clock came around my contractions were at 2-4 mins apart!!

So needless to say I was prescribed a medication to try and stop the contractions. My doctor wants me to take it until a week from Sunday, at that time I will be 37 weeks and the baby should be OK if I delivered early. He also wants me to come back Monday and we came make sure it is working OK.

I had Josh at 37 weeks and Patrick at 39 weeks. Both were healthy and somewhere around 7 pounds. So I just need to hang tight for a week and 3 days. I have a very busy week this week and especially next week, I scheduled all I needed done for these 2 weeks so that I would be prepared in case the baby was early, it looks like that was a good move... now to keep it from being stressful...yeah, I will work on that!
