Medical worries

This is a serious post, but because I don't really know much at this time, I am going to keep it short and simple. When I know more you all will know more.

2 month ago I noticed a lump on my neck, I went to see my doctor who said that it could be 1 of 3 things and that we needed to ultra sound it. Well, we have to meet a deductible of $3000 before the insurance helps out and so we thought since we are paying $3000 just for the doctor to have a baby, that we should wait til January to do the ultra sound. Later in the month I read about how dangerous it is to have thyroid problems when you are pregnant, so Trevor and I decide we will have to have the ultra sound done no matter the price. We had some blood work done as well and it says that my thyroid is just 1 number below what it should be so really nothing to worry about there. The ultrasound shows that I have a solid mass, the size of a marble, growing on the outside of my thyroid. Because I am pregnant the only thing they can do is stick a needle in my throat and take a piece to biopsy it. They want me in asap, because I am pregnant it could grow more quickly, especially since it appeared in pregnancy. Also there is the chance that it could be cancerous, it is small chance, but possible. So where we stand now is I have an appointment Jan 4, for a consult with a Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. This will be my second time seeing one of those since I had to have my nose cauterized in high school because my nose was bleeding insane amounts, and I had a cyst under my tongue removed.
