Josh came home from school today and told me that he voted today at school.
- "oh really who did you vote for Josh?"
- He couldn't remember,
- "was it Obama or Mccain?".
- "Oh, yeah" he says, "it was Obama".
- "Did you vote for Obama because your teacher voted for Obama?"-his teacher has been wearing an educators for Obama pin all month.
- "No she says that we have a choice who to vote for"-what a relief
- "Josh do you know anyone else who who voted for Obama?"
- "No"
- "Well that is good we are glad that you got to vote today and it was your own choice who, we voted for __, and we know ___and ___ voted for ___, it is really great that we all have a choice, it is so important to educate yourself and use that power"
I was very happy to hear that in preschool they were talking about voting and it's importants. I don't recall talking or learning much about politics when I was a child. I really think that politics and finance are very important to be teaching our children about. Especially the part where it is THIER choice WHO to vote for, not who we would want them to vote for.

Agreed. The greatest gift we have as citizens of America is the right to voice our opinions and choices and beliefs with the our VOTE. Knowledge truly is power.
