Longest post ever. 3 months worth

Wow guys! I looked through the blog to see when I posted last and it was sooo long ago. I have been none stop busy last few months. Do to me not having access to my pictures at the moment I will be posting with out them. Soon enough I will share them. Ok here is what we have been doing.

-May a birthday party with close friends and family at the park for Josh and Patrick 7 and 4. Made an Angry Brids cake (it is a video game character) out of fondunt, the first fondunt cake I have ever made. I am soooo proud of how it turned out! Loved it!

-in school Josh had a VIP week, full of activities I had to plan spotlighting him. And for the main event we through a Mario birthday party. I made the Mario hats and bought princess crowns. We did some fun activity that I can't remember now. Anyways it was great. Josh loved it and we got another year of a Mario party. I am sure next year it will be something else.

-My sister got married the end of May. I sewed skirts for all of my family (girls). And a dress for my youngest sister. It took way longer then I anticipated. And although they were cute and everyone saved money I didnt feel like it ended up being worth the time saved. Once my brother sends me the pictures I will send them your way. It was a good oppurtunity to get close to my family. Who I have made giant bounds with sence then. So it was good.

-I then spent June fixing my Moms house, putting on new doors, taking out old doors. Fixing outlets, putting on new molding in the whole house. My Mom offered to pay Trevor to do it but he has no time so I did it instead. I am going over later this week to completly finish it up. With sick kids and me doing it all by myself I had to take a break. My Dad did help me out there at the end. Just have a few touch up things and then done. Thank goodness.

-Jed and Richelle are coming to visit us the second week in August. So I made a giant push to get the basement done by the time they get here. Besides them coming I have been watching kids again and I need the space. Our house is too small without it. So to keep to the schedule I wanted Trevor showed me what was left and I took a few days to work down there while he was at work and with him when he got home. I can official add to my resume framing and installing vent through stucco, yeah that was hard drilling through stucco. Helped with some electrical and other things here and there. Anyway we have the sheetrock in the basement and people are hanging it tomorrow. If all goes well, Trevor and I can paint this weekend. Next week I can do molding and doors and closets while he is at work and he can do tile in bathroom. I would love for that to take a week so we could carpet it. But I doubt the tile will take a week so we may wait a little for the carpet. We will see. I am going to shop around carpet this week and organize my entire upstairs while the sheetrock people are here.

-Trevor was really sick a couple weeks ago. It was about a week to a week and a half of sickness. Then after feeling better it was stright to basement work and helping Nate on his roof and cooler on Saturday. Needless to say he needs a break and sheetrock being hung this week is a good break.

-Trevor and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this last week. We were ever so romantic. I bought Trevor some new pants and a shirt because he is losing so much weight that his pants dont fit. Unfortanity he didnt like the pants. But he loved the shirt. We order chinese take out since we havn't eaten that unhealthy in a long time. It was so yummy, and it lasted 3 meals. We couldn't believe we used to eat that amount of food in one sitting. And we just worked in the basement. I told him for my gift I wanted his time to get the basement as far as we can. It was a great way to spend our anniversary, working side by side.

-So here is what our future looks like... this week I organize my house, organize my friend Angies room that she needs to start renting (she is paying me for that), and take a morning to finish my moms. Shop for carpet, shop for tile, watch kids through out the week, and FINALLY book some things for new york! Oh and last night our neighbor invited us to go boating on friday kid free. This is the second thing we have been invited to do. Last night was the first, it was great. We have been here almost a year and are finally making friends. Next week basement, week after we play, play, play with Jed and Richelle and Allie and Nate since Nate leaves the next week. Then go to MAryland and then New york, As soon as week get back Josh starts school!!! Wow that is a lot. But even though it is a lot on paper, I still make sure to have down time to just play with my boys or visit family, or just be allowed to be prompted to serve. I think it is very important to not be too busy.

-I was called to nursery recently, but have continued to unofficially keep my calling as relief society board member because I want the social aspect and I like to help plan. I also started hangout with my newest neighbor who said I am the first mormon she has ever met. We have traded babysitting and done things together and she has only been here for a couple months. Which goes to show it can be easier to connect to non members then members because members make themselves too busy they spend there free time with their exstended family and it takes about a year to break into their world, at least given here in my experiance. It has been really fun to make a friendship with this lady. I am very excited for the future in our neighborhood. Me being called to nursery is a very cool story but I have already taken so much time writing this, I would like to tell it in person.

-oh yeah I stopped doing Boot Camp early because I hurt my back. Come to find it it was a herniated disk and a few other issues. So I have seen a chiropracter for 12 weeks. I just stopped going last week. The issue is resolved but my hips are only halfway fixed and I still have pain caused from my bed. Not going to buy a bed right now so just have to deal. Some days are harder then others.

-My highschool reunion is in 2 weeks and I am a little bummed I am not as thin as I wanted to be. But at the same time I love my body, and who I am, and I have been activly trying for about 9 months. So I just keep pushing and it may not be by the time of my reunion but soon enough I will get back to where I want to be.

-Our renters are moving the end of this month and we are looking for new ones.

-Caleb had his first hair cut.

-I want to buy a flag and put it up outside our house to show support for Nate (my brother in law) and his family as Nate is being deployed soon. Hang it until he comes home. I am so proud of the service he is doing. Having Allie (his wife) as a best friend has been such a blessing in my life. She is such a strong and amazing women.

In summery, I have had some good weeks and I have had some very emotional bad ones. But I am so excited for the oppurtunities presented to me. For my family. Also the ability to work hard and not be confined to knowing only a few things. I am gateful to my Father in Heaven for instilling in me the love for serving others and the many oppurtunities to do it. My husband would like me to try and serve others a little less sometimes so I can take care of our home better, mainly the cleanliness level. I am working on it. It is so much easier for me to see the needs of others before my own, so I just have to work at it. I can't solve everyone's problems. Things are going well for us and finishing the basement makes everything a little tight financially but I am prepared to work as hard as I have to to make extra money and take care of it. Hope you are all well! Sorry for any spelling errors as I have been on the computer intirerly too long need to walk away.
