Josh official started 1st grade on Monday! There was a lot of crying on my part. But since we are moving a week from Friday I have to drive all the way from my house in South Salt Lake to about 12600 south and Bangeter Hwy! I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, I really thought it was important for him to start school on time. But now I am starting to wonder if it is more important for me to keep the little sanity I have left! It takes, due to lovely time of day and everyone going to work, 35 mins to get there and that is if I SPEED the WHOLE TIME! So to get him to school on time, which is yet to be done, I need to leave 45 mins of driving time there and 45 mins back. That is an hour and a half of my day committed to driving Josh to school...aaahhh! I am glad I only have a week and a half more to do it! I know so many of you do this all the time and now I officially feel sorry for you too. Wouldn't it be nice if our jobs and schools were just right next door? Here is Josh ready for his first day! Patrick wanted to go too, but I told him that for now he and I do preschool together at home.

Speaking of Josh... I constantly am finding him huddled up in a corner somewhere reading a Goosebumps book. For his birthday Mike bought him like 10 Goosebumps books. When we are headed out the door and he is lagging behind it is because he is reading and walking, which makes it a lot harder to be frustrated.
We had just gotten home from swimming 10 mins before, and this is where I found him.

I am a little worried about these books not being age appropriate though...
but he hasn't been getting scared so I don't know.

I am too tired I think, my math is failing me. I drive him to school and back so that is actually 3 hours a day!!! I knew when I typed it soething seemed off.
I'm worried about the commute for Boston this upcoming year as well, it's going to take forever -- but at least you only have a week and a half left, so that's good news! Josh is in the BIG TIME now -- 1st grade! Crazy. That's so awesome that he loves to read, I think that is so important. Way cool!
