Josh's first chapter book.

I decided the other day, well actually I silently decided and then Trevor mentioned the next day that we thought Josh was ready for a chapter book. So we pulled out The Wizard of Oz. He loves it! Shockingly enough this four year old has no problem paying all his attention to the book while we read it. Josh asks us to read it to him, and then when we are reading it he is like "one more chapter, two more chapters". We are currently to the part where they have to go and kill the wicked witch of the west, or is it east, I can't remember off hand. It has been a good oppurtunity to teach him bigger words and spend more time with him. It really is exciting to see him enjoy this. I think we will try another book after this one and then see if he is ready to move on to Harry Potter or the Narnia series (which Trevor and I read while we were dating). I also want to rent the movie of the Wizard of Oz and see what he thinks about the differences in the book and movie.This kid amazes me!!!
