Is he really old enough to be asking these questions?

So Josh asked me two weeks ago "how does the baby get out of the mommy's tummy?" Well I told him one of the ways is by cutting the mommy's tummy open and taking the baby out and then sewing it back up. Then somehow I verged of the subject felling like I had dodged the bullet for at least a little longer. Well today, a little longer turned out to be two weeks (not as long as I thought) Josh asks me again the same question. I proceed to give him the same answer as before, then he says "well what is the other way?" So in the simplest least graphic way I explain 'the other way'.
Afterwards he says "OK, well I will have to tell that to Mikey".
"Why... did you ask Mikey about this" I said.
"Yes, he said that he didn't know" he responded. " So I told him I would ask you and then let him know."
At this point I can't help but laugh and when I shared the story with Trevor he had a good laugh too.
I am more than happy to be the one to teach him these sacred things. But I have to admit the reasons for me being asked the questions can be kind of comical!

...just hope the Birds and the Bees lesson is farther down the road
...MUCH farther!

HAHA!!! How old is he??!! I can't believe how smart he is? How would he even know that babies come out yet? Wow, they just keep getting smarter and smarter, younger and younger. The good news is that he feels comfortable talking to you about it. I think that is important.

I laughed soooo hard when I read this post!! So funny! I'm glad that I probably won't be faced with that challenge for a long time. Good job handling the situation, I'm afraid that I would have frozen like a deer in the headlights. Such fun moments being a mom.

That is so funny, I'm glad that I haven't been asked about the other way yet because they haven't realized that's not how all babies are born. Mine just know that about the tummy being cut opened because that's how all of mine have to be born. After Ella was born they had to see "My BIG Cut" all the time until it was healed and I was allowed to carry them again.
